As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread in the U.S. and across the country, the World Health Organization has confirmed that (COVID-19) now qualifies as a global pandemic. As a result, we want to take this opportunity to share what Giannotto’s Pharmacy is doing to respond to this public health emergency. First and foremost, Giannotto’s #1 priority is the safety and well-being of our team members, families, and the patients within the communities that we live in and support. We continue to assess the situation daily and are following the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local authorities.

Rest assured, we have a plan in place to ensure limited disruption of supplies and services and we will continue to be responsive to your pharmacy needs. Just in case the situation changes in our communities, we may need to further react to reduce the likelihood of severe impact to Giannotto’s staff, and the ability to serve our patients. Should a decision be made to alter our current operations, we have the technology in place where the Giannotto’s staff has the ability to work virtually. We also, have a continuity plan in place should you need any critical assistance as we deal with the virus.

We continue to ask everyone to take appropriate precautions with everyone they come in contact with, realizing that our staff, friends, family members, and coworkers come in contact with many people on a daily basis. Washing your hands appropriately and frequently is still the best way to dramatically decrease the spread of many types of communicable diseases. We have advised our team members to stay home should they show any signs or symptoms. If our team members are concerned about traveling, we are encouraging them to stay home and work remotely. We are encouraging open conversations between team members to assess their comfort level with on-site visits and determine what is best for all involved.

Bearing all that in mind, Giannotto’s will continuing to monitor & revisit any decision on an ongoing basis very closely given the fluidity of the situation with the latest information given to us! Please know we appreciate everyone’s support and understanding.
